Why I started
Soshal in the
first place
Not a company history. The honest reason this studio exists, what I refuse to do, and how to reach me if any of it resonates.
The note
I got tired of watching good businesses get let down
I spent years watching the same thing happen. A business would hire a designer, then a developer, then a marketer — three suppliers who had never spoken to each other — and end up spending more time translating between them than growing.
Every one of those suppliers did their bit competently. The website launched. The logo was fine. The ads ran. And still nothing moved, because nobody owned the outcome. The designer owned a file, the developer owned a deployment, the marketer owned a dashboard. The business owned the problem.
So Soshal exists to close that gap. One team that takes a brand from the first logo to a working growth engine, with one person accountable for the number at the end. Not because it is a clever business model, but because it is the only arrangement I have seen actually work.
That means we say no more than most agencies. No to projects where we are not the right fit, no to work that cannot be measured, no to retainers that exist only to keep an invoice alive. It costs us revenue. It has never once cost us a night of sleep.
If you have been let down before, I understand the scepticism entirely. The whole process is published on this site — including the parts where you get to walk away — so you can judge us on it before you spend anything.
And if you want to test any of that, book a call. You will get me or the practice lead, not a salesperson working from a script.
What I believe
Five things I will not budge on
These decide what we take on, how we price it, and when we tell a client to stop spending.
-
01
One accountable owner, always
Split a project across three suppliers and you have bought yourself a translation job. Someone has to own the number at the end.
-
02
Say the price before the work
A fixed quote in writing after one free call. If we cannot scope it honestly, we should not be quoting it.
-
03
You own everything we make
Source files, code, domains, ad accounts. Holding a client hostage is not a business model, it is an admission.
-
04
Measure it or do not claim it
If a piece of work cannot be judged against a number we agreed up front, we have no business selling it to you.
-
05
Turn down the wrong projects
The fastest way to a bad outcome is taking work we are not right for. We would rather lose the invoice than the result.
No gatekeepers
You can reach me directly
There is no account-manager layer here. If something goes wrong on your project, or you just want a second opinion before committing to anyone, write to me and I will answer.
